Payment Policy
Jamila Management Services is committed to providing the best possible living experience, but we need you to do your part. Pay your rent on time! Every time! Below is the timeline for rental payment.
1st of the month – Rent is due. If your rent is not received in our office on the 1st, or paid to Pay Near Me location before 10:00pm, the late fee will be applied.
2nd of the month – Rent is late – a late fee has already been added.
3rd of the month – Rent is late
4th of the month – Rent is late
5th of the month – Rent is late – and a NOTICE TO PAY OR QUIT will be posted on the property
6th of the month – Rent is late
7th of the month – Rent is late. If your complete balance payment is not received in our office by 5pm, a Dispossessory Warrant (Eviction Warrant) will be filed, and a Dispossessory fee and Administrative fee will automatically be added to your balance. A Sheriff’s Deputy will visit your home to serve the warrant. If you would like to see an example of the fees, please scroll down to the Payment Example Section.
We offer multiple ways to pay your rent, but we accept no excuses. Automatic drafts from your bank account, and credit/debit card payments are processed by our vendor, Apartments.com.
After the 5th of the month, you must pay your rent with CERTIFIED FUNDS.
If you need to make an IMMEDIATE PAYMENT (You would be notified if that is the case), please contact the office for instructions on how to do so.
PAYMENT EXAMPLE:
For this example, the Rent Payment is $1700 per month, Late Fee is $170, the Dispossessory Fee is $ 285.00 and the Administrative Fee is $50.
If you pay rent on the 1st, the amount due is $1700.
If you pay rent between the 2nd and the 7th, the amount due is $1870. (Rent is $1700 plus the late fee of $170).
If you pay rent on or after the 8th, the amount due is $2205. (Rent is $1700, plus the late fee of $170, plus the Dispossessory Fee of $285, plus the Administrative Fee of $50)
